Hey, it's me again!!
Today I will talk about the EVS project and how my first week in Reşiţa was.
I went to a place named Primavara which is like a center for children with disabilities. I thought I would'nt like it because I never "worked" with children with special needs but it was pretty amazing. First of all, the view was amazing, we could see the mountains and it was so cool! So we went there and played some games with the kids. I really enjoyed it, it was incredible how they treated me even if it was my first time there. A girl called Anna hugged me so much that i felt i was suffocating; and a guy named Alex (i guess) was smiling all the time and doing some jokes.
On another day I went to a primary school which has a kindergarten too and this one was not on the top of the mountain but was seriously on a place very very remote. This school teaches children from roma comunity, they were amazing, the way they called my name was so funny and sweet. There, we helped them painting christmas trees and when i was in this school i realized how much a language can affect our comunication with the others. They were always talking to me but in romanian and I only know portuguese and english, so when they needed help to draw a present, for example, they had to get up and go to the board to explain whitch thing they wanted me to draw. It was the first time I really felt the language can be an obstacle between people. I also understood they are from a poor community, they were fascinated because I had a Samsung...

Hey! I created this blog so I can tell you and show you a little bit of my life during this adventure. Actually, I think this experience will be really great for me and will teach me a lot of things we don't learn at University. After a week in Reşiţa (amazing city, believe me), I can tell you I almost died because it's so cold here and people say "oh, this is not even winter!", so I think I'll really die this winter! This week I just tried to learn how to go from the house to the office and stuff like that. I also learnt that every single time i go to the supermarket I have to use the translator because the first time at the supermarket was tragic. I thought "ok lets go to the supermarket and buy what i need, i don't need to know the language, I see the images and understand what im buying", but no! I tought I was buying milk and when I got home and opened it..... i mean, it was like not milk to drink i guess. It was not liquid, really strange yeah.

Coming back

 13-03-2021 It's been a long time, I know. Yesterday I just remember about this blog and how I wished I kept writing while I was in Romania, so I wouldn't forget some things. The fact tht the other day I couldn't remeber the name of the part of the city where I lived just left me really .... I don't know, sometime I'm afraid of forgetting about so many things I lived and experienced in Romania. That's why I came back, I want to write about things I suddently remember about this experience. So, in the next days I will try to publish some photos and tell a few words about what it reminds me.
